    Winter

Winter is one of the four temperate seasons, marking the period between autumn and spring. It is characterized by the coldest temperatures of the year, often resulting in snow and ice in many regions. Winter typically begins in December and lasts until February in the Northern Hemisphere, while in the Southern Hemisphere, it occurs from June to August.

During winter, the days are shorter, and the nights are longer due to the tilt of the Earth’s axis. This season influences various aspects of life, including agriculture, energy consumption, and outdoor activities. Winter is also associated with various cultural celebrations and holidays, such as Christmas and New Year’s in many parts of the world.

In nature, many animals adapt to the colder conditions, with some hibernating or migrating to warmer areas, while certain plants enter a dormant phase. The colds and changes in the environment during winter have significant effects on ecosystems and human activities.
